Hsuan Wu
Hsuan Wu, a percussionist from Taiwan, graduated in Professional Performance with Distinction at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, where she also received the Anthony Cross Memorial Prize. She won the second prize of Marimba Solo in the Italy Percussive Arts Society in 2023. She is an experienced collaborative musician, working with ensembles such as Birmingham Contemporary Music Group, Ju Percussion Group and World Percussion Group.
Hsuan is establishing what she has learned to explore the possibility of combining more disciplines to create uniqueness. She performed in percussion concerts every year, often collaborating with different aspects such as dance or drama. She also likes to focus on contemporary percussion works, for instance, Stockhausen and Xenakis.
Hsuan is a very creative percussionist both as a soloist and a chamber music performer. She also has different hobbies, such as sports, fashion, and travel, and enjoys being an adventurer.
